Kitten? Color me Smitten.

Kitten is an eye-shadow color from Stila that you should definitely become acquainted with. I've always loved the perfect nude-champagne powder color, but Stila has gone above and beyond with the Kitten Smudge Pot. This super flattering color is now available in creamy perfection - and is an unbelievable multi-tasker:
1. makes a great base for powder shadow - your eye color will not fade through the day/night AT ALL

2. looks purrfectly pretty when used as a highlighter under the brow

3. used alone, provides a beautifully sheer wash of color and is perfect for a natural, casual look

4. a little in the inner corner of your eyes makes them 'POP' and makes you look wide awake

These are just 4 I can think of off the top of my head....but I'm sure there are more ways to wear this product. This one is so universally flattering - it should be in everyone's makeup bag.

Eye Do.

I have to tell you how much I adore this little eye anti-puffer by Garnier. This product uses a little metal roller ball to deliver eye gel that promises to de-puff and brighten your eye area. The metal roller is cooling, which feels amazing (especially in the AM, when I enjoy anything that will wake me up a little), and the massage-like action works to break up any fluid that has collected under your eyes during sleep. In addition, it contains caffeine and vitamin B-5 to assist in de-puffing and brightening.

Need another reason to use a roller for your eyes? The skin around our eyes is so delicate, and constant tugging or pulling can aid in creating fine lines. The roller is a gentle way to deliver the product. If you use cream with your fingers, gently pat the cream around your eyes.

Yes Bare Escentuals, I Have Met Matte.

After being bombarded by (great) marketing touting Bare Escentual's newest innovation, I finally gave in and tried the matte version of their super popular mineral powder foundation.

As it turns out, I'm probably sticking with it. Having combination skin, I have a tendency to be glowy....okay, okay, shiny....by day's end. No longer is that the case with my beloved Matte. The coverage is great, but sheer, and it doesn't look powdery. The result at the end of the day is even better - somehow, my face still looks fresh. Of course, I'm still giving credit for my skin's ability to look great right now to my new PFL (product for life), the Clarisonic, but this Matte version stands alone in its own right.

Side note: The new packaging is much better and a whole lot less messy than the regular powder...as you see in the picture, the Matte features a twist top so you can ensure less product spills, and happier consumers.

Check it out and buy it here.

Shiseido + Cotton Pads = Blogworthy

I know, I know. I'm blogging about glorified cotton pads. COTTON PADS for crying out loud!! But wait...you have not tried the cotton pads in question. And yours truly is in sheer disbelief and shock that she has not stumbled across these little miracles sooner.

I can't tell you how many cotton pads I've tried - I always look for and try the "premium" types that promise not to disintegrate on your face....and what happens? They promptly leave little cotton streaks on my face.

But no longer will this sort of thing happen to me, oh no. For a mere $9.50 (I know it's cotton but TRUST ME), you get the softest, most durable little cotton warriors you can find. Since I've been tissue-ing my facial cleanser off, these little darlings help remove every trace of dirt/makeup while keeping my skin so amazingly soft. There is enough to last you a good while in the package, and trust me my little dears, you will not be going back to Target for your cotton pads.

Check these out here.
